Rules

How ranking works

• New pins start at a $2 minimum, whole US dollars only, maximum $999,999.
• Rank is your heat — see below — measured against everyone else. Pay more than the pin above you and you take its place.
• Paying less than the leader still puts you on the map at whatever rank your amount holds. There is no losing bid, only a smaller pin.
• Equal heat is broken by clicks: the pin with more total clicks ranks higher. If clicks tie too, the older pin wins.
• You are ranked twice — once worldwide, and once inside your region. Seven regions means seven #1 spots.

Heat, and why pins fade

A pin's heat is what it has paid, decayed over time: heat = total paid × 0.5 ^ (days since last top-up ÷ 30).

In plain terms: your pin's heat halves every 30 days. Top up any amount and it relights to your full lifetime total, with the clock reset. This is deliberate — a map where a one-off $2 buys a permanent spot goes stale, and stale maps are worth nothing to the people paying to be on them. Your lifetime total is never reduced; only the heat it currently projects.

Raising your pin

Enter the same URL or @handle again with any amount of at least $1. You only pay what you add — never your total again. The same link always maps to the same pin, and any payment toward a link relights that pin. There are no accounts; the link itself is the identity.

Regions

You pick a region when you first drop a pin, and it is fixed after that — pins do not migrate. Regions are North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Oceania and Antarctica. Your pin's position on the map is derived from your link, so the same link always lands on the same coordinates.

What you can pin

• A product website, or an X @handle.
• Vibe-coded builds, weekend projects and AI-built sites are all welcome. There is no minimum size and no polish bar — if it's live on a real URL, it belongs on the map.
• App Store, Play Store and GitHub links are keyed by their path, so different products don't share a pin. Query parameters are stripped, so affiliate and tracking tails will not survive. Link shorteners are rejected.
• Chat and invite links (Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord and similar) are not allowed. Adult content is not allowed.

Pins that break these rules, or that are unlawful, infringing or deceptive, can be rejected or removed at any time without refund. The terms have the details.

After you pay

• A completed payment is what claims the rank. Your pin typically rises within seconds of payment confirmation.
• Payments are one-time, in US dollars, processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record.
• Clicks go to your URL with utm_source=pinmap appended, so you can see the traffic in your own analytics.
• All sales final, no refunds. Being out-pinned later is the game, not a defect.

Biggest pin owns the region. The map is the proof.
